POLAR EXPRESSO HOLIDAY BLEND
There’s no X in espresso but lighten up it’s the Holidays! Polar Expresso is an annual blend from the legendary specialty coffee importer in Oakland, Sweet Marias. Not just an “espresso blend" because it is great with any brew method and tasty at both ends of the roast spectrum. This is a blend of wet process and dry process African coffees from Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda.
The primary notes of this coffee are chocolate truffle or dark chocolate ganache. The small amount of dry or natural process coffee gives subtle stone fruit flavors like dark cherry or plumb. At lighter roasts there is a typical brightness of washed Kenyan giving off notes of citrus like orange zest or even cranberry.
Medium roasts and darker are recommended for espresso. Light roasts will be flashy and bright like your neighbors’ decorations. I’m personally loving it a few degrees darker than I typically like, just past medium.
